In a major u-turn, Australia has accepted a longstanding offer from New Zealand to take refugees from detention centres in the Pacific.
As a result, this country will take 150 refugees a year for three years - 450 in total.
Green MP and the party's spokesperson for refugees Golriz Ghahraman said they've been pushing for this for nine years and she's overjoyed.
