Sri Lanka's President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has finally handed in his resignation letter, after months of mass protests over his rule.
The parliamentary speaker's office says it has received the original letter via the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Singapore.
Rajapaksa earlier fled to the Maldives, then to Singapore where he is now, after protesters took over government buildings in the capital Colombo.
