More than 4200 primary healthcare and Plunket nurses will strike for four hours from 10am, after more than a year of failed pay negotiations.
The New Zealand Nurses Organisation says its members are leaving to go to Te Whatu Ora for more money, putting huge pressure on the primary healthcare system.
College of Primary Health Care Nurses chair Tracey Morgan, says they want to be paid the same as Te Whatu Ora nurses, but currently get about 20 percent less.
She spoke to Corin Dann.
