About 100 properties across Auckland and the Tasman district were damaged when tornados tore through the regions over the weekend.
East Auckland was hit on Sunday night, followed by another twister that ripped through the Moutere area near Nelson, on Monday.
Residents blindsided by the sudden weather event are still shaken.
