Ōhakea airbase encourages girls to take up aviation careers

Forty teenage girls in their final year of high school are getting a taste of life in the airforce this week.

They're part of a school holiday programme at Ōhakea airbase in Manawatu trying to encourage girls into aviation or science, technology and maths jobs - traditionally the preserves of men.
