ECE teachers describe children manhandled, locked outside, and babies left to cry

From Morning Report, 7:20 am on 26 April 2023

Early childhood teachers have described children being manhandled and illegally locked outside at some centres as well as babies being left to cry.

They say regular audits often miss bad practice and authorities should use under-cover staff to see what's really going on.

An informal support network, the Teachers Advocacy Group, is collecting evidence about centres that teachers repeatedly complain about.
