A patient who suffers long-term pain after having surgical mesh inserted to treat urinary incontinence says the Director General's recommendation to pause the practice is "long overdue".
In 2014 Carmel Berry she founded "Mesh Down Under" - an advocacy group for people with life-altering, chronic pain conditions caused by surgical mesh complications.
