New Zealand pole vaulter Eliza McCartney has flung herself to victory at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meet in Liévin, France.
The 27-year-old Rio Olympic bronze medallist cleared a world-leading 4.84 metres, the sixth best vault of her career.
And that success is stoking optimism McCartney could be in the mix at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow next month and the Paris Olympic Games later this year.
McCartney spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
