Transmission Gully link road to close for five months

Just two years after opening, Wellington's Transmission Gully link road is being ripped up - and people online are asking why this wasn't sorted from the start. The road - which connects the communities of Whitby and Waitangirua to State Highway one - is set to close for five months while drinking water pipes are being laid, along with cabling for electricity network upgrades.
