The government is due to make a decision today on the Waitangi Tribunal's interim report on water rights; A 30-year plan to improve the lives of Maori living in Auckland is being launched today; The lower North Island iwi, Ngati Toa, has sidestepped an Intellectual Property Office ruling, which rejected the tribe's attempt to safeguard the haka, Ka Mate Ka Mate; The Turangi-Tongariro Community Board is recommending a number of changes to street names in Turangi to reflect local Maori.
