Baltimore-based inventor Neil Feather has been creating musical instruments, taking inspiration from mechanics, physics and the foley arts, for the past 30 years.
He’s currently in Aotearoa with a selection of his instruments, including the Nondo - a giant metallic stringed instrument, which is set up for all to play at an exhibition the Audio Foundation in Auckland until Saturday 28 April 2015.
Emma Smith went along to meet Neil and some of his inventions.
