Kerretta

Auckland band Kerretta have been on the scene for around six years now, releasing their debut Villayer in 2009. The trio have an impeccable pedigree within the Instrumental post-rock, post- metal post-industrial... genre. Drummer Hamish Walker was in Avotor - from the industrial end of the spectrum, while Bassist Will Waters was in Meterman, an angular math-rock band, and Guitarist Dave Holmes learnt his engineering and production skills working alongside Jakob - the most well-known of NZ's instrumental loud quiet loud bands. Kerretta has just released a second album 'Saansilo'. Music 101 host Kirsten Johnstone spoke to Will Waters.
