The Chicks Project

The Chicks Project is a new venture which supports young musicians to up-skill and get some road experience through local tours and after-school shows at grown-up venues. 8 bands from Dunedin high schools are currently going through the programme, started by Volunteering Otago, which sees them mentored in song writing, tour preparation, and performance, before hitting the road for a mini tour. Emma Smith heads along to a mentoring session with Otago rock degree band Cult Disney, and speaks with Volunteering Otago head Anna Clare.
