Flash Mob
International Day for Persons with Disabilities was celebrated on 3 December. In Christchurch, the date was used to highlight the importance of making the rebuilt city an accessible one, that meets the needs of all its inhabitants.
The event was based at the Restart Mall and involved entertainment from the disabled community throughout the day but, most notable, was a flash mob that saw at least 100 people, many of them with disabilities, launch into a synchronised dance display.
Katy Gosset was there to watch the event unfold.
