GPs prescribing cannabis

The government has today released a set of proposed regulations for medicinal cannabis - around cultivation and around standards for medicinal products. Under the proposed new regulatory scheme patients suffering from chronic pain could be prescribed medicinal cannabis at the discretion of the prescriber. Dr Richard Metlicott of the Royal College of General Practitioners talks about the sticking points for GPs and the ideal ways to prescribe.
