English musician Dave Randall was a guitarist with the UK band Faithless and has collaborated and toured with Dido, Sinead O'Connor and many others.
He's also an author, whose new book Sound System: The Political Power of Music has been described by Q Magazine as "adventurous and spellbinding".
He talks to Trevor Reekie about what makes music powerful.
