A busy intersection in the Auckland suburb of Balmoral which was closed after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle has now reopened.
Police were called to the scene at the intersection of Dominion and Balmoral Roads at 11.40am on Monday.
The pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the Serious Crash Unit had been notified.
