Users around the world, including in New Zealand, are reporting issues with the team collaborating software, Slack.
Slack allows people to exchange instant messages with colleagues who may be based in different workplaces.
Today users have reported that they can't connect to the service, receive errors when trying to send messages, and can't even access Slack's website.
The company which is owned by US-based Salesforce has admitted that it caused the problem. It estimates that it is affecting fewer than 1 percent of its users.
So sorry about this! We are having DNS issues. More here: https://t.co/nZ22Rtt50c

The issue began about 5.30am New Zealand time and Slack has said it is not related to any third-party DNS software and services.
"In order to resolve this faster, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) will need to flush their DNS record for slack.com.
"We expect all customers' connectivity issues to be resolved within the next 24 hours. We know how important it is for people to stay connected and we apologise for this disruption."
We're seeing some signs of improvement, and reloading Slack (Ctrl/Command + R) may allow Slack to load again. The issue is not resolved for everyone, however, and we'll be back again once we have another update to share. https://t.co/tZUb1TWDEc
