A gluten-free batter mix has been recalled due to a mix-up with another batter mix which contains gluten.
Mrs Rogers Naturals brand Crispy Golden Batter Mix has been incorrectly packaged as the Gluten Free Batter Mix.
The product recall affects batches with the number 7093, and best before date of 26 January 2026.
It is sold at selected Four Square, FreshChoice, New World, Pak'nSave and SuperValue supermarkets throughout New Zealand.
New Zealand Food Safety advises people with a gluten or wheat allergy or intolerance not to consume this product, but people who do not have a gluten or wheat allergy or intolerance are not affected by the recall.
"If you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.
"Customers with a gluten or wheat allergy or intolerance should return the product to their retailer for a full refund."
