The company that runs the Rotorua luge is updating its emergency procedures and possibly re-aligning the track after an accident that broke a man's leg.
Those who saw the crash, about 10 days ago, were shocked and have said that staff at the North Island luge did little to comfort them.
The chief executive of Skyline Enterprises, Jeff Staniland, said today they will introduce rules to help staff deal with distressed customers.
He says the man was travelling too fast and they may have to realign the track to make it safer for people travelling at speed.
