Police have searched an Ashburton property in relation to the reported theft of 500 cows in the area, and say inquiries are continuing.
The cows, worth about $800,000, were reported stolen from a mid-Canterbury farm over two weeks ago.
The police said they searched the address on Friday 9 September but no arrests were made.
