A man police were hunting and who, they warned, was trying to meet women on social media has been arrested, police say.

Jessie Heke-Gray, 32, was arrested in Waipu yesterday and charged with rape and sexual violation.
He was due to appear in Whangarei District Court this morning on those charges, along with a charge of breaching his prison release conditions.
Further charges were likely, police said.
Mr Heke-Gray had been on the run since September, when he left his approved accommodation in Otara, Auckland.
Last week, police warned the public that Heke-Gray had been trying to meet women for dates using Facebook and other social media applications.
