Two people have walked away from an emergency landing by a light aircraft at Motueka in Tasman.

The pilot warned emergency services of their intention to make a forced landing just before nine this morning.
The plane put down on mudflats next to Wharf Road in Motueka.
Its pilot and passenger were unhurt.
