An investigation is underway after a member of the public booked a room at a managed isolation facility and tried to check in last night.

The person walked into the lobby of Auckland's Novotel Airport Hotel after booking a room through a third party.
The hotel had cancelled the booking but the person said they had not been told.
They were wearing a mask, and did not come into contact with any guests nor touch any surfaces.
Auckland health authorities deem it as a low public health risk.
The person has been asked to monitor any symptoms for the next two weeks as a precaution.
A managed isolation and quarantine spokesperson said an investigation was underway and they were taking action to make sure it would not happen again.
