Police said they received a report of concern about a person's wellbeing in the Kelston area just after 2pm.
As a precaution, Kelston Boys' High School, Kelston Girls' High School and St Leonards Road School were put into lockdown.

Police said that they were working with schools to allow students to leave.
In a post on Facebook, St Leonards Road School said all students were safe and accounted for.
Parents were asked not to come to the school or phone.
