A man charged in the Dilworth court case has lost name suppression, but an appeal will keep his identity secret for now.

He is one of seven defendants charged after a police investigation into historic sexual offending at the Auckland school. All face charges of indecent assault, with some facing additional charges.
The case of the man was called in the Auckland District Court for a name suppression hearing this afternoon. He sought to adjourn the hearing, and sought a further order prohibiting media from identifying him.
Judge David Ruth declined both requests, but the man's lawyer Nicholas Wintour said he had instructions to appeal the decision if it went against him.
Police are continuing to investigate historic problems at the school. In September they said they had expanded the team working on the case, after receiving more than 70 calls from the public after the investigation was announced.
The court case will be called again on 25 November.
