A man has been charged with robbing a restaurant in the Wellington suburb of Miramar on Saturday and assaulting a member of its staff.

The 25-year-old will appear in the Wellington District Court tomorrow charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The victim has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home with family.
