Four people have been injured, one seriously, in a two-car crash in the Clutha District.
Police say it happened on the Lawrence-Waitahuna Highway, just before 11am today.
State Highway 8 is blocked and traffic is being diverted along Bloy Road.
Motorists are being asked to delay travel if possible.
