The three people who died in a crash just north of Christchurch on Sunday have been named.
They were Jixuan Yinwho, 67, Ying Wan, 48, and Guhan, also known as Caroline, Yin who was eight.
They all lived in Christchurch.
The crash happened after a truck and car collided at the intersection of South Eyre Road and Burnt Hill Road, in the Waimakariri District.
Police said a fourth person, who was seriously injured in the crash, remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
