Three people were taken to hospital early this morning after a shooting in central Auckland.

Police were called to Fort Street at about 1.45am after reports of a firearm being discharged.
The trio were taken to hospital, two with serious injuries and one with moderate.
An 18-year-old man will appear in Auckland District Court today, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
