RNZ has taken home New Zealand's only gold medal at the New York Festivals Radio Awards, which honour top radio content worldwide.

'Ka Pō Ka Ao - Rob Ruha and the Auckland Philharmonia,' which aired on RNZ Concert, won the gold award for Best Live Sound. The concert can be listened to here:

The awards recognise radio content in all lengths and formats and across all platforms from radio stations, networks, and independent producers from around the globe.

RNZ also won a bronze award in the Personal Lives Podcast category for 'NZ Aviators look back to their experience of the Second World War' which aired last Anzac Day.

Another RNZ podcast production, 'The Elephant in the Bedroom,' was a finalist in that same category.
