Police are seeking information after a man was critically injured in an assault in Whanganui Saturday night.
The victim was found injured and unresponsive at a Paterson Street property just before 10pm Saturday, police said.
He was flown to Wellington Hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition.
Police said they want to hear from any witnesses at the scene who may have information about the assault.
Investigators have conducted a scene examination, and enquiries are continuing.
