A 19-year-old man has been charged in relation to an assault in the Auckland suburb of Manurewa yesterday that left a person seriously injured.
A man entered a grocery store about 6pm on Wednesday with serious injuries, and was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
The man arrested is due to appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police said the victim remained in hospital and was in a stable condition.
