A suspected gas leak has closed a road in Northland's Kamo.
Police were called to the scene on Station Road around 9.50am on Monday and were assisting Fire and Emergency New Zealand.
"Station Road has been closed to traffic from Kamo Road until the intersection with Farmer Street.
"Police are assisting with traffic management and any evacuations if required."
Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area, police said.
