A small earthquake shook the lower North Island Saturday afternoon.
The magnitude 4.6 quake at 2.58pm was located 40km west of Porirua at a depth of 33km, according to GeoNet.
Multiple users reported feeling it on social media, but GeoNet described the shaking as "light".
