Multi-car crash causes delays on Wellington's waterfront

Traffic on Wellington's waterfront is slow following a multi-car crash on Monday morning.

Police said the crash involving several cars was reported at 8.45am on Waterloo Quay.

A police spokesperson asked commuters to avoid the area due to delays.

There were no reports of injuries, the spokesperson said, but traffic was significantly impacted.

Photographs from the scene showed two cars being towed away while traffic was diverted as police cleaned up debris left on the road.

By 10.30am the road had been reopened to traffic and the debris had been cleared.

Traffic appeared to be easing.
