Two people have been seriously injured in a dog attack at a property in Manurewa, South Auckland.
Police said they were called to the house on Hoturoa Place around 6pm on Saturday and the victims were taken to hospital for treatment.
Auckland council's licensing and compliance general manager Robert Irvine said the council was investigating the attack and was working with the police.
"There is no further risk to the public from the dog involved."
A council spokesperson said the dog also received medical treatment last night and was with the owner.
