The unexplained death of a man in Auckland on Friday is being investigated by police.
He was found unconscious on Stafford Road, at the entrance to a walkway through to Alfred Street in Northcote Point. Police said a member of the public notified them just before 1.30pm.
"Medical assistance was immediately provided to the man but sadly he died at the scene," a spokesperson said.
Part of the road was closed while a scene examination was carried out.
Police said anyone with information should call 105, citing the reference number P061837652.
