Six people have been injured after four vehicles collided in State Highway 2 in Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to a crash involving four vehicles on State Highway 2 near Francis Road, Whakamārama, at around 12:20pm Wednesday.
Police said six people were involved in the crash with one person in a "moderate to serious condition", while the others received minor to moderate injuries.
Hato Hone St John says three ambulances and one rapid response unit responded, and two people were taken to Tauranga Hospital.
The road has been closed near Francis Road and diversions are in place. Motorists are advised to expect delays.
