One person has died after a crash in Owaka in the Clutha District, polcie have confirmed.
Crews were called to the serious single-vehicle crash on Owaka Valley Road at about 2.45pm.
Hato Hone St John said that its crews assessed and treated one patient who was airlifted to Dunedin hospital in a moderate condition.
The road is closed, and the Serious Crash Unit will examine the scene.
Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
