Two people are in critical condition after a crash which has closed State Highway 2 near Maungatāwhiri this evening.
Two vehicles are involved in the crash near the Maramarua Golf Club,which was reported just before 4.30pm Friday.
Police said two people are in a critical condition, with a third person in a serious condition.

State Highway 2 is still closed in both directions as of 8pm.
Motorists are advised to expect delays.
