A person has died after a serious crash in Canterbury.
Police said the single vehicle crash occurred on Charles Upham Drive in Rangiora at 7am on Tuesday.
Despite efforts by emergency services, one person died at the scene. Initial indications suggest it was a suspected medical event.
A scene examination has been completed and the road has reopened.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing and the death will be referred to the coroner.
