Residents on Auckland's North Shore have been warned to stay inside due to a major fire at a recycling plant.
The fire is on Hillside Rd in Wairau Valley.
Fire and Emergency NZ said it was understood there were batteries on fire inside the factory and the fire was producing large amounts of smoke.
"We ask people in the area to stay inside and close windows due to the smoke. There is no immediate need to evacuate unless advised to do so."
