Police are investigating after an injured man entered a restaurant on Auckland's North Shore, saying he'd been stabbed.
Emergency services were called to the restaurant in Birkenhead about 8pm on Sunday.
The man had told staff that he had a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital where he remained in a stable condition.
Police said they they did not believe there was any further risk to the public.
