A house fire in the Hamilton suburb of Flagstaff has now been put out.
Emergency services were called to the fire at 7pm.
Fire and Emergency shift manager Michael Anderson said crews responded with four fire trucks, a hazmat vehicle and other support vehicles.
The fire in the two storey propery was well involved when they arrived, but there was no one in the home, and the blaze was extinguished by 8pm, said Anderson.
A fire investigator and crews were still on site at about 10pm, he said.
