A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in the Auckland suburb of Papatoetoe earlier this month.
Police said they had been investigating the death of Joan Beale, 84, after her body was found at her home in Ashlynne Avenue on 9 August.
Police have charged a 50-year-old man with her murder and said they were not seeking anyone else in connection with her death.
The man was expected to appear in the Manukau District Court on Wednesday.
