A woman who went missing from the Christchurch suburb of Scarborough on Wednesday has been found dead.
Police launched a large-scale search for Tracy, who was 66 and was reported missing about 1.20pm on Wednesday after failing to turn up to a planned lunch date.
Her Tesla car was found on Taylors Mistake Road about 2pm, but there was no sign of her.
Police, search and rescue volunteers, Fire and Emergency, and Sumner Coastguard volunteers were involved in the search.
Tracy was found dead on Thursday evening, by Police Search and Rescue police confirmed.
Her death was not being treated as suspicious and would be referred to the Coroner, they said.
