Another teenager has been arrested in relation to the fatal stabbing of Kaea Karauria in Napier.
Karauria, 15, was found critically injured with stab wounds in Onekawa on Alexander Avenue in the early hours of Sunday, 11 May, and died at the scene.
The 17-year-old was arrested in Napier on Thursday and charged with theft and demands with menace.
Detective Inspector Martin James said it has been a complex investigation and police continue to follow up information "to ensure that all those involved - either directly or indirectly - are held to account".
"We are very grateful to those people in our community who have done the right thing and provided information to help us bring justice for Kaea's whānau."
The 17-year-old male is scheduled to appear in Napier Youth Court on 15 October.
