The main road in the Canterbury town of Rakaia has reopened following a crash.
There were delays on SH1 between the intersection with Dunford Street and the Rakaia River Bridge until 8.30am Sunday.
Police were called to the two-vehicle crash around 7.20am between Bridge Street and North Rakaia Road.

There were no injuries, although one person was taken to hospital for assessment.
NZTA advised motorists to follow the directions given by traffic controllers on-site.
