New Zealand First has announced its new list MP, Invercargill-based Ria Bond.
The party gained a new MP after its leader Winston Peters won the Northland by-election in March.
Mr Peters resigned as a list MP to become the Member of Parliament for Northland and Ms Bond was next on the New Zealand First list.
Mr Peters said Ms Bond is based in Invercargill and has a business background with experience as a mediator and spokesperson.
He said for six years Ms Bond was the president of the New Zealand Association of Registered Hairdressers, which represents 8000 owners and operators, and has also served on New Zealand First's board.
